On November 1st, the CAMH Simulation team hosted their second annual Open House to provide CAMH staff had an opportunity to meet the newest member of the Simulation team, the SimMan ALS mannequin—who has now been renamed Simpson (congrats to our naming contest winners, Karen Ward and Ritu Gupta!)—as well as to explore ways in which simulation can be utilized for departmental training and education. In addition to working with the mannequin, attendees had a chance to learn about the Simulation Centre’s mobile Video Observation System and how simulated patients can be used to help create real world clinical scenarios.
