Program Overview
The Women's Inpatient Unit is a time-limited, goal-oriented acute care inpatient unit for women. The unit supports women with a diverse array of psychiatric diagnoses, including addictions, and has expertise in working with those who have experienced trauma. Individualized treatment includes assessment, diagnostic clarification, stabilization, medication management, focused treatment interventions and help to establish links to the community. Group treatment includes psycho-education, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, trauma education, relapse prevention and a variety of recreational groups and activities.
